ICE CLIMBING IN UTTENDORF/WEISSEE
In the area of the Grünsee middle station, there are ice climbs between 100 and 220m above sea level. The centre of the ice climbing action in the upper Stubach valley at an altitude of between 1,800 - 2,000m.
1. GUGELHUPF: 100 m, 50 - 80 °

5. ICE CHANNEL: 130 m, 90 ° (one passage) - otherwise 50 - 85°
6. ICE ROLLER: 150 m, 60 - 90°
EXERCISE CASE
OLYMPIA FALL:
Width approx. 80 m, height approx. 40 m - between 60 and 90°.
Accessible from the Medelz mountain station by ski to the Kalser Tauern and crossing the slopes below the Tauernkogel to the Olympiafall, return to the Rudolfshütte mountain station by descending to the Weißsee and to the valley station of the Hauslift. Altitude: 2,500 m
EISLUTSCHER:
30 m, 60 - 90°
Accessible via the Weißsee dam in a few minutes to the icefall.
Sea level: 2.200 m
ICE DREAMER:
50 m, 60 - 80°
Accessible from the Medelz valley station to the southeast, past P. 2.246, to the exit. Here two abseiling hooks, by abseiling twice (20 m, 30 m) you reach the entrance.
Altitude: 2,200 m
ÖDENWINKELFALLS:
several short practice falls, 60 - 80°, 15 - 20 m
Accessible from the Medelz mountain station by ski to the Ödenwinkel and the falls. Return via the Eisbodenlacke and ascent to the valley station of the Schafbichll lift (half an hour each way).
Altitude: 2,200 m
