The Scharbach arises in Reichenbergkar in the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern.
The Wildbach flows through a romantic alpine soils and high forest regions, falls over 200 meter waterfalls and cascades and ends at a approx. 60 meter high waterfall.
It is the only natural water district in Stubachtal, which is not used for producing energy.
The waterfall is over the power station Schneiderau and flows in the Stub-Ache.
The hikingroute to Schrabachfall was built by the Biotope Conservation Group Pinzgau of the Nature consrevation Association Salzburg in 2004.
The landowner (forecourt farmer, Fam. Brugger) provides the path area, that leads through lush orchid meadows.

A small resting area in front of the waterfall invites you to linger and have a snack.
