Experience Hiking in Uttendorf/Weißsee
***A hiking trail for the whole family***
The trail leads along Dorfbachstraße to Stefflbauer, where the first information board is located. Then the exposed dry slope with its heat-loving plant and insect world is crossed, which offers frequent opportunities to admire the life and death of colorful butterflies such as swallowtail, apollo butterfly, lemon butterfly, peacock butterfly, small fox, admiral, mourning cloak, schiller butterfly and many more.
On the comfortable path through the Steinertal, seating invites you to take a break. The path leads past a marshy alder meadow with delicate mosses and ferns to the erratic blocks (Devil's Stones - witnesses of the Ice Age).
In the immediate vicinity of the geological feature, hikers come across a wetland biotope, again a place of peace and tranquility, but also an oasis for more butterfly species and insects. Finally, before reaching the Liebenberg Alpine Inn, a popular destination for excursions, the trail leads along the edge of a forest, past litter meadows and through an old orchard.
Enjoy the wonderful nature and let yourself be captivated by the many "flying gems"!
The starting point is the village center and the end point after about 1.5 hours of walking is the Alpengasthof Liebenberg. The difference in altitude is 300 m.
A special incentive for children is our quiz questionnaire. Along the butterfly trail there are various boards to which there are questions to answer.
Ge(h)sund uphill way
Ge(h)sund bergauf - mountain hikers can get in the mood for the varied tours in the high mountains under this motto in the national park community of Uttendorf/Weißsee.
There are about 300 meters of altitude to be climbed, but not in a rush, but rather leisurely, interrupted by a few breaks reserved for leisurely exercises: breathe, stretch,.....
This path is intended to help "bring body, mind and spirit into harmony and recharge your batteries". But just not through strength exercises, but through relaxation for in between.
The beautiful, nature-loving path leads through woods and meadows with a fantastic view of the Hohe Tauern. Various boards remind you of the creative breaks and formulate the movements, which are easy to perform.
